Golden Glow Honey
A small-batch botanical honey blend combining pure raw Florida wildflower honey with three Ayurvedic botanicals: turmeric, amla, and triphala. Inspired by traditional Himalayan and Ayurvedic wellness practices, this blend brings together raw honey's natural sweetness with the warm spice of turmeric, the tartness of amla, and the complex bitterness of triphala.
Botanical sources
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizomatous plant in the ginger family, cultivated across South and Southeast Asia for thousands of years. Its characteristic deep yellow color comes from curcuminoids, a class of naturally occurring polyphenols. Amla (Phyllanthus emblica), also known as Indian gooseberry, is one of the most prominent botanicals in Ayurvedic Rasayana practice, valued for its tart flavor and dense nutritional profile. Triphala is a classical Ayurvedic formulation consisting of three dried fruits — amalaki (P. emblica), bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), and haritaki (Terminalia chebula) — combined in equal proportion.
Flavor & texture
The honey base provides sweetness and viscosity. Turmeric contributes a warm, slightly peppery spice. Amla adds a noticeable tartness and slight astringency. Triphala contributes a layered bitterness with a dry finish. The combined flavor is complex and distinctly botanical — warm, tart, and earthy with a golden color deepened by the turmeric.
Culinary & traditional uses
Traditionally consumed by the spoonful or stirred into warm water or herbal tea. Well-suited as a morning tonic. Can be used as a glaze base for roasted vegetables or grain bowls where a warm, spiced honey note is welcome. Avoid combining with very hot liquids, which can degrade heat-sensitive compounds naturally present in raw honey.
Ingredients
Raw Florida Wildflower Honey, Turmeric, Amla, Triphala
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Natural variation in color and consistency may occur between batches. Turmeric can settle; stir before use.
A note on raw honey
This product contains raw honey. Raw honey has not been pasteurized or micro-filtered and may contain naturally occurring pollen, propolis traces, and small air bubbles. Because raw honey may contain naturally occurring spores, it is not recommended for children under 12 months of age.
How to use
Enjoy a small amount by the spoonful, spread it on food, or stir it into warm—not boiling—water or tea. Begin with the labeled serving and stir before use because turmeric and other botanicals may naturally settle.
Beginner questions & cautions
This blend has a warm, tart, earthy flavor and is more botanical than plain honey. It contains raw honey and is not suitable for children under 12 months. If you are pregnant, nursing, managing a health condition, or taking medication, ask a qualified professional whether botanical ingredients are appropriate for you.
