How to Make Iced Botanical Tea Three Ways
A good iced botanical tea starts stronger than a hot cup because melting ice dilutes flavor. This three-way guide can be adapted to any of NutriBotanix's tea blends.
Method 1: Hot Brew, Quick Chill
Use roughly 1.5 times your normal amount of tea for the same water volume. Brew according to product directions, strain, sweeten while warm if desired, then pour over a full glass of ice.
Method 2: Refrigerator Brew
Place the labeled amount of tea in cold water and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Strain and serve cold. This produces a softer extraction and is useful for delicate blends. Unbleached tea bags make straining a cold brew easy.
Method 3: Iced Tea Concentrate
Brew double-strength tea, cool, and refrigerate. Mix equal parts concentrate and cold water or sparkling water when serving.
Honey Tip
Honey does not dissolve well in ice-cold tea. Stir it in while the tea is still warm, or keep a jar of honey simple syrup in the refrigerator so it disperses evenly.
Safety
Refrigerate brewed tea promptly and use within 2–3 days for best quality.
