Mango Amla Yogurt Lassi
Share
This lassi blends ripe mango and plain yogurt with amla powder and a touch of cardamom for a cold, tangy, tropical drink. It tastes bright and slightly tart, with the mango's sweetness balancing amla's natural sourness. Amla's tartness is a natural fit for a fruit lassi, where yogurt and mango give it something sweet and creamy to sit against.

Why This Combination Works
Amla is naturally tart and astringent on its own. Rather than masking that, mango and yogurt work alongside it — the fruit's sweetness and the yogurt's creaminess give the tartness somewhere to land, while cardamom ties the whole thing together with a light floral note.
Variations
Pineapple may be substituted for mango.
